Where do I go from here?

Hmm... 2 months since my last post. It appears that I am struggling. It turns out that having 4 small(ish) children is a whole lot of work. Between running kids to activities, trying to keep up with the loads of laundry, keeping the house picked up (clean went away a long time ago), and the never ending discipline there isn't much room for me to get anything else done. Oh, yeah, and I'm still working full time on top of all this! I went to the dentist, and the hygienist asked me what I do in my free time.... "sleep". That's the best I could come up with.

I've been trying to decide where to go from here with my blog. It was started to keep people updated on our adoption process and ended up being a nice way for me to connect with other adopting families. With our adoption complete, I'm not really sure how to focus my thoughts here.

I could talk about the challenges of adopting a child from "a hard place". Quite frankly, that's fairly hard for me to talk about, although if I had any sense it would be free therapy for me. I could talk about the funny things that my kids do. I could share my love for Down Syndrome and my passion for my "baby" boy. Of course, there's my new found passion for adoption of children with special needs. Perhaps, I can get really deep and discuss my search for truth, faith, and religion.

Then again, this would be assuming that I could find some time to write more than once every 2 months. So, for those last 1 or 2 among you who still follow along with me... any opinions, suggestions, thoughts???

In the meantime, I am going to work on a quick update on what has been going on in our crazy, upside down family.

I don't see why you can't encompass a well rounded update of your life and sometimes if you get a drive to write a whole entry focusing on your passions go for it.... Blogs are supposed to be whatever comes freely to mind.... so when you do get the time, just write what's on your mind... and reflect :)

I like the idea of a search for truth, faith, and religion. Maybe your search will align me with mine.

We've all been talking about what a slacker you've been with the blog! :) Seriously, anyone reading this is amazed by the things you accomplish, not critical about the timeliness or purpose/direction of your blog. It’s always nice to hear how you all are doing and see updated pictures of the kids. You guys Rock!

MB - I'm strongly inclined to agree with Amy P... to say "give yourself a break" will most likely fall on deaf ears, but please consider it said!
I still cling strongly to the idea that today is today and tomorrow's ideas will come tomorrow (bad example of my procrastination style, I am sure)
Theraputic for you - be it any of the categories you mentioned - would be the best route I would suggest, for finding the time for you is probably low on the list, like it is for most moms, wives, and working people.
God bless & happy mother's day, a couple days late!

I also enjoy whatever you write and love seeing updates on the kids. I'll be here whether you post once a week, once a month or once a year. Hoping we can get together this summer!!

OK....so I've missed one or two of your posts. Just catching back up. I still write on my blog because it's therapy and it keeps my mom and dad (who can't see my kids often) up to date. But since I'm home schooling all 4 (including Sawyer with Ds), I totally understand the lack of time to do a thorough job of posting.

Think of it as your little scrap book of the kids' lives. They might want to check back over it one day and it won't smell old and musty as a real scrap book would.

Good Luck..glad you didn't lose The Baby in Disney. That must have been frightening.
